Skill Combinations For PVP, Strategy

HOC Heroes of Order And Chaos: Paladin Grandmaster Lut'Hiran Guide

  1. Attack with Rush which will bring you right beside the enemy Hero.
  2. Use Crippling Blow to slow the enemy Hero down and prevent them from escaping.
  3. Use normal attack to finish off the enemy Hero, if enemy uses any negative effects on you, use Unwavering Faith to remove it.

Recommended Items
  • Gloves of Acceleration
  • Watcher's Whisper
  • Iron Claymore
  • Blessed Bracers
Gloves of Acceleration are extremely cheap and you can buy 2 before the match starts. This will increase your attack speed by a total of +30%. This allows you to farm enemy soldiers faster at the start of the match and also gives you a small edge over other players who didn't buy items.

Watcher's Whisper is available as an upgrade to the Gloves of Acceleration, these are costly but definitely worth your while, each increases your attack speed by 60% and has a chance to reduce the enemy's movement speed. The combination of increased attack speed and reduction in enemy's movement speed makes the Watcher's Whisper a must for player killing.

Iron Claymore provides a high bonus to Physical Attack which means Lut'Hiran will be able to do more damage per hit.

Blessed Bracers are available as an upgrade to the Iron Claymore, these are extremely pricey but the increased Physical Attack bonus as well as the extra HP that it provides makes this a great item to have.

With this item combination of speed and damage boosts, Lut'Hiran will bring down enemy players in seconds. This item combination is also ideal against towers and hordes of enemy soldiers.

Item Purchase Strategy
  1. Buy 2 Gloves of Acceleration before the match starts.
  2. Upgrade both Gloves of Acceleration to Watcher's Whispers.
  3. Buy 2 Iron Claymores.
  4. Buy 1 Watcher's Whisper.
  5. Buy 1 Iron Claymore.
  6. Upgrade all Iron Claymores to Blessed Bracers.
We have found this strategy to be the most effective as it maintains a balance of attack speed and damage while maximising the limited gold that is available.

  2. Early game this hero is really a hero, when you stick up as a fighter with Lut Hiran it is really easy to lvl up quick as he has high defense and great attack power.

I notices as well that when 5 guardians and 5 fighters will fight together the guardians will win easily. Try with Lut Hiran, Polyphemous, King Reega, Rockfist and Balondis for example, when played right this team is dominating. (1/2 support is also recommended like demonlord for his passive skill to give more attack power)

The guides are almost all able to find here as they are based on dealing damage instead of taking damage.

  4. Sorry dude, but I feel it's necessary to call you out on the 3 x watchers strategy, for the good of all looking at this to learn paladin item buys. If you are wanting to buy ANY item with unique abilities it is wise to ALWAYS only buy ONE. The unique abilities don't stack the more of the same item you get, so your gold is far better spent upping HP/Defense - as paladin is a guardian after all - and also getting other items with unique abilities - as you are most certainly getting more for your money.
A good place to start with paladin is to build the recipe items (the items that can be combined to make something else) for stirring soul of dragons, whilst throwing in a facebreaker or wings in every 2nd or 3rd buy. This will give you a good balance of tanky items, while keeping your paladin in the fight. The breakers and wings can then be combined later to make all sorts of other final items with unique abilities. This is a super basic recommendation, and of course it always differs according to who you're playing. But, please don't buy more than one of a final item, because that is just a fail!
I am currently in the top 2000 players of the game (hoping to get into the top 1000 soon ;), so I feel this qualifies me somewhat to comment!

    Peace :)

  6. I agree with the Anonymous dude who posted on 18 June. It is pretty weird to buy 3 x watchers lol I dont see anyone doing it in high lvl games or pvp matches... Currently in top 500 ranking...
