2mm natural black leather cord (3 feet)
16mm sterling silver oval-shaped button (1 piece)
2mm faceted gunmetal nuggets (43 pieces)
6mm x 4mm barrel/ rice-shaped snowflake obsidian beads (43 pieces)
black silk thread (sewing thread; 6.5 metres)
2.125inch big eye needle (1 piece)
clipboard (1)
STEP 1
Thread your leather cord through the button from the concave side.
STEP 2
Secure your button and leather cord onto the clipboard. This will help to provide tension when threading the beads and nuggets.
STEP 3
Instead of using one 6.5 metres long silk thread, we are going to cut the silk thread into equal halves. After doing so, you'll have 2 the 3.25 metres long silk thread. Place the silk thread side by side and fold it in half.

Form a loop by threading the loose ends through the U-shaped end.

I did mine with the button on my left hand side as shown in the picture. Thread the bottom leather cord through the loop we have created on the silk thread, and tighten the silk thread. This way, you'll be threading 4 threads through the beads and nuggets each time.
STEP 4
Thread 1 faceted nugget and 1 obsidian bead onto the silk thread. The silk thread should either wrap around the top leather cord in the same direction -from front to back or back to front- for each of the bead and nugget combination.
STEP 5
Thread the needle through the snowflake obsidian bead and faceted nugget. If you decide to wrap the silk thread around the top leather cord from front to back, your needle will be in front of the bottom leather cord after you've thread through the bead and nugget.
In my case, I wrapped it around the top leather cord from back to front, therefore, my needle was behind the bottom leather cord after i thread through the bead and nugget. Basically you will be threading the beads and nuggets onto the leather cord in a figure 8 method.
STEP 6
The design for this bracelet is 3 nuggets at the bottom, followed by 2 nuggets at the top and the pattern repeats.
STEP 7
Once you have finished threading all the 43 beads and nuggets, end the leather cords with an overhand knot. Leave 1 finger spacing (approximately 15mm) between this knot and the second knot. Your bracelet should measure 7 inches from the back of the button (convex side) till the start of the second knot.
Hope you'll find this tutorial helpful! Enjoy!
